The staff at Hidden Lakes Elementary in Keller, TX did a One Word teambuilder before the first day of school. The district’s anti-bullying initiative this year is “R.O.C.K.” – Reaching Out with Character and Kindness. As a visual reminder, every teacher came up with their One Word for the school year, and painted their word on a rock that will stay in their classroom for the year.
I wanted to share a short story with you that I believe you’ll enjoy. I was blessed to coach my son in football for ten years – all the way through his senior year in high school. I also coached Zach’s best friend, Jake. In fact Jake’s Dad, Randy & I were humbled & honored to serve together on the same coaching staff from the time the boys were in middle school through high school.

This year we started off by having everyone choose a word and decorating a canvas. As a surprise, we took everyone’s word and put it in a wordle and created t-shirts. This is the end result. Thank you for being an inspiration!
